The influence of the proximity to these two luxury resorts is notable in the quality restaurants and stylish stores which adorn the seemingly simple market town of Almancil. 

A typical, working Algarve town, Almancil offers an alternative to those resident in the two opulent resorts, or a great place to stop for those just passing by.

There is an eclectic mix of Portuguese and ex-pats living side by side as well as a myriad of shops, businesses, restaurants and cafes in Almancil. It’s a popular area where you can find anything and everything. Almancil has a karting centre, so make sure you pop in if you fancy yourself as the next Lewis Hamilton. Not really a tourist town, Almancil is busy all year.

Property in the town centre of Almancil itself is hard to find – and to be honest probably not the most desirable of locations, however on the outskirts of the town you will find beautiful stand alone villas which offer peace, quiet and tranquility yet are also within close proximity to some of Europes best golf courses, blue flag beaches and quality restaurants.

Most properties in Almancil will be private villas without any condominium fees or resort charges to pay. There are a few developments on the outskirts where you will find beautiful townhouses with condominium charges, but on the whole you are looking at three, four or five bedroom villas for sale.

Many of the properties will have large plots, private gardens and large swimming pools. Many expats have chosen to make Almancil their permanent home.
